We welcome you to a guided tour through the Saddlers Workshop
The Blaser Saddlery is located in a stately farmhouse dated of 1662 in the center of the village Wasen. In former times this building served as a restaurant with its own butchery.
After a complete renovation we could install our large working space in December 2010 and now we profit from this great opportunity.
On a tour through our saddlery you’ll learn a lot about old traditions, newest techniques and fine embroidery.

Come, look and listen!
From the „Säli“, where straps are beautifully embroidered, belts are decorated and harnesses are sewn, the tour leads into the former bowling alley where we store the leather.
We‘ll look and smell, and we’ll not only see the leather of cows, goats and sheep, but there are also the skins of very exotic animals waiting for us.
Up we go into the former slaughter house. There you’ll learn how a horse collar is made, a process which takes many hours of manual work. Through maze-like hallways we get into the spacious stylish hall, where you can admire lots of harnesses, bells and „Treicheln“.
Finally the beautiful craft store in the previous restaurant invites you to stay and do some shopping.
